(HUNTSVILLE, AL) – Team Davidson is pleased to welcome James Parys as Senior Vice President, Growth and Strategy. In this role, Parys will join Davidson’s senior leadership team to spearhead efforts in business growth, innovation, customer engagement, and strategic partnerships.

As SVP, Growth and Strategy, Parys will be responsible for setting and executing Davidson’s growth strategies, which include pipeline development, pursuit of large-scale opportunities in engineering services, software, and hardware solutions, as well as fostering industry partnerships. He will oversee the capture management process, ensuring alignment with customer requirements while positioning Davidson as a trusted partner in defense innovation and modernization.

Additionally, Parys will lead efforts to shape Davidson’s external presence at key conferences and symposia, collaborating with the marketing and communications team and the company’s technical workforce to promote Davidson’s capabilities to the Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community customers.

Parys brings to Davidson more than 30 years of leadership experience in strategic growth, capture management, profit and loss, and software & systems engineering across the defense and aerospace sectors. He most recently served as Vice President of Strategic Technology for the Command, Control, Intelligence, and Encryption Business Unit at Ultra Intelligence and Communication (I&C). There, he developed and managed growth strategies focused on command and control, tactical networking, and AI/ML applications for multi-domain environments.

Prior to Ultra I&C, Parys served as Senior Vice President for Growth in the Mission Solutions Sector at Parsons Corporation, where he led efforts in space systems, C5ISR, and directed energy technologies. His extensive career includes roles at Cubic Corporation, where he oversaw flagship programs like the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Data Link and MQ-25 UAS SATCOM programs, and at Northrop Grumman, where he spent 20 years in both business development and profit-and-loss leadership.

Parys began his civilian career as a systems and software engineer following nine years of service in the United States Navy as an Operations Specialist. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and a Master of Science in Information Systems Management from Coleman University.
