Dale Moore Named Davidson’s New CEO

(HUNTSVILLE, AL.)– Davidson is pleased to announce that Dale Moore, currently serving as President, will step into the role of Chief Executive Officer (CEO) effective October 1, 2024. This transition comes as MG John W. Holly (USA, Ret.) steps down after nearly five years as CEO. Holly shared the news with employees during an all-hands meeting on Wednesday, September 25, following the decision made by the Davidson Board of Directors the previous day at their quarterly meeting.

Dale Moore was initially elected as President of Davidson on January 1, 2024, following a unanimous decision by the Board. Moore brings with him over 20 years of senior executive leadership and business development experience, with a strong background in business operations and program management across both industry organizations and government programs. His journey with Davidson began nearly two decades ago as a Systems Engineer, supporting the development, testing, and deployment of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) program. Moore’s career also includes 14 years at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI), where he most recently served as Vice President of Business Development.

“It is a tremendous honor to be selected as the next CEO at Davidson. I am excited to lead the next chapter of Davidson’s commitment to performance excellence, as exemplified by our employees’ dedication to innovation, teamwork, and integrity over the past 28 years,” said Moore.

Prior to becoming President, Moore served as Chief Operating Officer, where his deep knowledge of Davidson’s operations and his leadership in shaping strategic initiatives have made him an instrumental figure in the company’s continued success. Reflecting on Moore’s contributions, Holly said:

MG John W. Holly (USA, Ret.)
“Dale is an outstanding leader. During his tenure as Chief Operating Officer and as President, he has consistently demonstrated vision, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to the success of our company. With his proven track record of operational excellence, Dale is uniquely qualified to lead Davidson into the next phase of its journey.”

In recognition of Holly's lasting impact, the Board of Directors has asked him to remain at Davidson as Executive Chairman. In this role, Holly will focus on corporate governance, leading Davidson’s transition to employee ownership, and continuing to serve as a strategic advisor. He will also play a pivotal role in securing international business and maintaining a strong connection between Davidson employees and the Board of Directors.

As Davidson continues its growth trajectory, Moore’s leadership, alongside Holly’s continued guidance, will ensure that Davidson remains a leader in innovation, operational excellence, and employee engagement.
