(WARREN, MI)– Now in its 16th year, the Michigan Defense Expo (MDEX) is a leading forum that brings together Department of Defense leaders, major prime contractors, and small businesses to drive defense innovation and collaboration. This premier event highlights Michigan’s pivotal role in the nation’s defense industry and provides a venue to explore the latest advancements in military technology. Davidson Technologies’ participation this year underscores our growing commitment to the Michigan defense market and to supporting U.S. Army modernization efforts.
Meet Davidson at MDEX 2025
Davidson will be represented by two key leaders at MDEX 2025: Mallory Manns, Vehicle Protection System Battlespace SEIT Lead, and Alec Jackson, Senior Director of Digital Engineering. You can find Mallory and Alec at booth E18 on the exhibit floor throughout the event. They will be available to discuss Davidson’s capabilities and explore opportunities to collaborate on ground vehicle protection solutions, digital engineering initiatives, and other defense projects. We invite attendees to stop by for a conversation or even schedule a meeting during the expo.
Growing Our Presence in Michigan
Over the past year, Davidson has been expanding its footprint in Michigan’s defense sector. We recently opened a new office in Detroit and now have two full-time team members based in Michigan, strengthening our local presence.
This investment allows us to work more closely with U.S. Army partners in the Detroit/Troy corridor – including key organizations at the Detroit Arsenal such as the Army’s Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC) – and to engage with the region’s robust defense manufacturing community. By establishing local roots, Davidson is better positioned to support Army programs and collaborate with the many defense contractors and innovators in the area.
Digital Engineering Excellence for Ground Vehicles
Davidson’s Digital Engineering Center of Excellence is at the forefront of modernizing how defense systems are designed, integrated, and sustained. Led by our Senior Director of Digital Engineering, Alec Jackson, this initiative applies model-based systems engineering, advanced simulation, and digital twin technologies to defense challenges. When it comes to Army ground vehicle systems, our digital engineering approach ensures seamless integration of new technologies, faster modernization cycles, and improved lifecycle sustainment. In short, we help the Army and industry partners adapt vehicles to evolving needs by providing a robust digital thread from initial design through maintenance and upgrades.
Aligned with MDEX’s Mission
MDEX 2025’s agenda centers on defense innovation, modernization, and forging partnerships between the Army and industry – priorities that resonate strongly with Davidson’s mission. As an agile technology company (and proud small business), we share MDEX’s commitment to connecting innovative solutions with real-world Army needs. Our work in ground vehicle protection, digital engineering, and systems integration directly supports initiatives at Army GVSC and contributes to the broader defense manufacturing community in Michigan. We look forward to engaging in discussions at MDEX that advance these shared goals and exploring how our capabilities can further Army modernization efforts.
